Writing since the age of 11, Jamel Smith has always known where his destiny would take him. This lyrical maestro is ready to compete with the big boys in the industry, and that will become very apparent as you enter the world of Mr. Smith.

Raised in the city of Oakland California (Slum Village 85th G St), he came from a family of a lot of half brothers and sisters. In the year 1999 he was introduced to a written rap from his older brother, Ju Black. So he started going to school rapping his brother's rhymes to people and they respected it. One day, he threw on a Eminem track, Rock Bottom (his favorite rapper the time), and wrote to the whole song about what he was feeling. That was the perfect song because it was and still is hard times for the young 19 year old. From that point on, It was love at first sight; him and music clicked like it was nothing else on this earth he should be doing.

Now being a little bit older and a lot smarter, he's still doing his thing in this music. Jamel Smith has teamed up with Herb Partlow and Superb Muzic Productions, with the singular goal of putting Mr. Smith at the forefront of the music game.

While he's a little bit goofy and always smiling, there's still pain behind the smile. Be on the look out for Mr. Smith's debut single titled, "Get Wiggy Wit It" to be released on the Superb Muzic label.
